NICK KIMBERLEY

Chair

Nick has held a number of senior Human Resource Director roles for the past 20 years in both the UK and Australia with Associated British Foods plc which is a diversified international food, ingredients and retail group with sales of GBP15.6bn. 

 

He moved to Australia in 2011 to join the Don smallgoods business and be part of the senior leadership team involved in commissioning the new factory at Castlemaine as well as being responsible for turning the business from significant loss-making to profit. 

 

The Castlemaine facility is the biggest single food manufacturing plant in Australia employing over 1500 people.  During his time with Don Nick was involved in the renegotiation of a ground-breaking EBA as well as a cultural transformation program that encompassed safety, engagement and talent acquisition.

Back in the UK, he was HR Director for ABAgri for 14 years during which time he was an integral part of the board that grew the business from GBP 12m to GBP 50m EBIT.  This was achieved through organic growth as well as innovative joint ventures and a significant number of acquisitions around the world.

Nick is currently the People and Performance Director at Jasol a chemical hygiene business and is again working on a business transformation project.  This has included a focus not only on costs but engagement, succession, talent management and the coaching of senior leaders.

In his early career, he gained experience in a large UK bank in a global talent management role as well as a trainer at the company’s management college.

​

Nick's career to date has incorporated designing and implementing a wide range of human resource solutions to business problems and this coupled with a keen understanding of how a business makes and loses money has ensured he has had a voice at the senior decision-making table.
