Kim Russell is a former Chief Marketing Officer, trusted CEO and C-suite advisor and certified executive coach who has delivered category-defining growth for some of Australia and New Zealand’s most commercially complex consumer businesses, including Telstra, Nando’s, Menulog, OTR and Craveable Brands (Red Rooster, Oporto and Chicken Treat). Across more than two decades, Kim has led marketing at the highest level in high-accountability environments, repeatedly translating customer-led strategy into sustained commercial performance. Her impact includes more than $650M in attributable revenue uplift across Nando’s and Craveable Brands, material marketing-led EBITDA growth, and a defining contribution to the $1.215B acquisition of OTR by Viva Energy. At OTR, she led marketing across a portfolio spanning proprietary brands and major QSR partners including Subway, Oporto, Hungry Jack’s and Guzman y Gomez. Kim is recognised for building growth systems that lift transaction volume, frequency, average spend, retention and profitability, while strengthening brand and culture. She is also known for creating brand work that earns attention and delivers measurable commercial outcomes, recognised locally and globally, including OTR’s “Go a Moe’s” (Effie Gold and NY AME global finalist), Nando’s PERi-Perks and Mango Heist, Red Rooster’s Red Royalty, and Tourism Australia’s “So where the bloody hell are you?” In addition to her executive roles, Kim works as a strategic advisor to founders, CEOs and executive teams, with selected consulting clients including eBay, Westpac, Mamamia, Canstar, Loan Market Group, Ipsos and Venues NSW. Earlier in her career, she held senior roles within leading creative agencies including Ogilvy, M&C Saatchi and Ideaworks. Kim says: “As Chair, my role is to create a high-trust environment where senior marketing leaders can think clearly, challenge assumptions, sharpen judgement and elevate their impact. He has enjoyed a global executive career, initially in marketing roles, ultimately transitioning into country leadership positions for some of the world’s most powerful brands, including; • Nike Europe • Quiksilver Asia Pacific • Coleman Asia Pacific • YETI Australia & NZ In recent years, Simon has pivoted into a full-time career as an independent non-executive director, with a diverse board portfolio including; • Iconic Australian brand, Kookaburra Sport • The performance apparel brand focused on the global rowing and paddling sector, 776BC • Paddle Australia, the peak sporting body for paddling sports in Australia • The disruptive big box pet retailer, Best Friends Pet Care • Movember Foundation, the world’s largest men’s charity • Technology start-up Buying Intelligence, which empowers fashion brands & retailers globally • Liberated Brands, the leading portfolio of actions sports brands, including Quiksilver, Billabong, Roxy, Volcom & more Simon is a Fellow of the AICD and holds a Master of Business, majoring in Marketing.
