"All knowledge is connected to all other knowledge. The fun is making the connections."

Are we the right fit?

The best Roundtable Members possess the following six traits:

01

They are lifelong learners. Adopting a ‘growth mindset’ — believing that your basic abilities are not fixed, and committing to learning and developing over time is an important attribute for executives. People with a growth mindset prioritise lifelong learning so that they can consistently develop new and useful skills. They also constantly review their own performance and seek objective feedback from trusted sources.

02

They are curious. Curiosity helps to open the mind, enable growth, encourages new ideas and is a fundamental principle of adaptive leadership. Curiosity generates questions that wield problem-solving, leading to finding results. Curious leaders ask questions, listen, and observe.

03

They build trusted networks. Trust, like respect, is earned not given. Great leaders know how to establish trust with like-minded Executives outside their own organisation.  What differentiates a leader from a manager is the ability to figure out where to go and to enlist the right people and groups necessary to get there.

04

They are open to new ideas and experimentation. An innovative leader does not need to be the person who creates the idea behind an innovation. Often, they simply recognise a great idea – perhaps devised by a colleague – and envision the path that leads to that idea becoming a reality. They have the courage to act.

05

They enable the full potential in others. While leaders generally find themselves in the spotlight, the best leaders are eager to take an active interest in the growth and success of their team and those in their trusted networks.

06

They are adaptable and help others adapt. Change is inevitable. To thrive as a leader requires the ability to adapt to these changes and adjust to new conditions. Adaptive leadership means seeing change not as an obstacle, but as an opportunity to focus on being ready. Adaptable leaders have flexible ways of thinking and plan ahead.

Our Members recognise that their leadership development is continuous and do not view themselves as a finished product.

Our Commitment to Gender Representation

"We’re committed to building diverse and inclusive Roundtables and community. We actively encourage senior female executives to join our Roundtable programs – your voice, experience, and perspective are not only welcome, they’re essential." John Roberts CEO, Leadership Collective Australia

Figures come from the Chief Executive Women (CEW) Senior Executive Census 2025, indicate:

• 31% of executive leadership roles across ASX 300 companies are occupied by women and

• 10% of CEO positions within those same companies are occupied by women

While the majority of our Members are not ASX 300 companies, these figures nonetheless highlight both the progress made and the ongoing challenges in achieving gender equity at the highest levels of corporate Australia.

Currently, our Membership comprises approximately 40% women and 60% men. At Leadership Collective Australia, we are committed to increasing female representation and warmly encourage more women to become part of our growing community.
